Building America’s Future (BAF) ( http://www.bafuture.org ) has named Peter Peyser to its Board of Directors.

Founded in 2008 by former Governor Edward Rendell of Pennsylvania, former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York, BAF boasts a politically diverse membership of state and local elected officials from across the nation. Former U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is now one of BAF’s Co-Chairs.

“Peter was there at the beginning of BAF as my representative in Washington,” said Rendell.  “He’s been an informal adviser to BAF ever since, so its fitting that we bring him on to the Board at this critical moment when infrastructure is rising to the top of Washington’s agenda.”

Peyser is currently Principal of Peyser Associates LLC, a public affairs and business consulting firm with offices in Washington and New York.  He works with organizations in the public and private sectors to advance major projects and policy initiatives in transportation.  “BAF has been a leading voice for eleven years now in the national conversation about investing in infrastructure,” said Peyser. “I’m excited about the organization’s ability to advance that conversation into action this year and I look forward to working with the leadership of BAF to help make that happen.”
